As part of the AEP programme , Dr.George Varghese , clinical Psychologist was invited to address the Parents of class IX students on the topic " stress Management" and parents role to support the adoloscent.
Dr.George Varghese started by giving a brief note of how the emotions vary due to chemical changes taking place in the brain. He expressed that the parents should show direction , teachers role is to guide and it is the individual who should decide and move towards the goal.
He also showed the brain images in the case of a normal person and in the case of an addicted person.
He expressed that the computer/facebook/mobile addict are treated in the same way as other substance addict.In the case of addicted person the brain efficiency reduces to 42%.
Then the parents interacted with Doctor.
